We work with all the Shared Ownership mortgage lenders, giving you access to every possible broker product on the market, including some exclusive products and lenders.
It's not where you share the ownership with someone you don't know and it's not where you own the upstairs and someone else owns downstairs.
It is about 40 years old and it is a Government Affordable Housing scheme – It is super brilliant! Usually, it's a Housing Association selling the property. You buy the share you can afford and pay rent on the remainder.
Over time, you can buy more shares, this is known as staircasing. Doing this means the rent goes down and your share size goes up.
Its your home, nobody can sell it, unless you decide to.
We're a little bit obsessed… with Shared Ownership
We've been around since 1996, won a couple of awards for services to First Time Buyers, pretty decent Trust pilot reviews. And we're lucky enough to be trusted by 90ish Housing Associations so we can focus our time and energy on Shared Ownership buyers.
Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage. There may be a fee for mortgage advice of up to 1% of the amount borrowed. A typical fee is £499, but this will depend upon your circumstances.

We know supplying documents can be a bit boring, we've tried to help by making a nice easy upload portal that guides you through, step by step
Top Tip - have these documents ready, each one in a PDF format. For bank statements download from your online banking, rather than screen shots. This will help make the journey smoother.
